The Atlantic is the ultimate Melbourne dining experience showcasing seafood in its purest form. The restaurant design is contemporary and minimalist and has drawn major inspiration from the famous New York’s meat packers district and the hustle and bustle of the fish markets of yesteryear in both New York and Chicago. st of fresh fish of every variety on display. The Atlantic offers a comprehensive menu of shucked to order oyster varieties, seafood delicacies, soups and chowders, and hot and cold appetisers available individually or to share. The menu spans the world’s culinary influences as well traditional fish favourites. The Oyster Bar & Grill offers unique oyster varieties, along with a selection of hot and cold seafood dishes. Main courses change regularly and feature a unique range of wild and sustainable fish as well as aqua cultured fish. Customers can choose from a variety of fillet portions or whole fish to share. This 300 seat restaurant is dimly lit and there is an emphasis on timber beams and screens to balance the raw industrial feel, with the interior brought to life with sumptuous fabrics in ‘colours of the sea’. There is a myriad of seating options plus several private and exclusive dining areas. An explosion of colour comes from a series of cobalt blue patterned feature tiles. Outside there is a dedicated al fresco dining area positioned on the banks of the Yarra to take in Melbourne’s city skyskape. After an amazing meal, head downstairs to The Den. The Den, as the name suggests is the place to retreat for a pre or post dinner drink. (or several!) Expect fireplaces, comfortable booth seating and a little bit of New York.

To mark the closing days of The Atlantic at Crown, The Final Service brings together a five-course menu of signature dishes that have defined the restaurant over the years.

After an incredible 15 years at Crown, The Atlantic restaurant will conclude its time at this location on Wednesday 27 May. As our lease reaches its natural conclusion, we look ahead to elevating The Atlantic into its next era in a new location.

For over 25 years, The Atlantic has been a place of celebration - from its beginnings in St Kilda in 1994, through to its evolution into one of Melbourne’s most iconic dining rooms at Crown - defined by long lunches, late nights, milestones and unforgettable moments shared around the table.

We are incredibly grateful to our guests for the many moments shared with us over the years - and to our team, whose passion and commitment have made The Atlantic what it is today.

As we prepare for what comes next, we invite you to join us in the coming weeks as we celebrate everything this restaurant has been, and everything it will become.

Throughout May, the dining room will come to life with a series of signature experiences - a final opportunity to enjoy The Atlantic at Crown in full flight.

From our Weigh & Pay Platters, to Bugs & Bubbles, to evenings with our Caviar Cart - alongside $3.50 oysters served all day, every day.

To close, we will be hosting ‘The Final Service’ on Wednesday 27 May - a one-night, five-course dining experience celebrating signature dishes that have defined The Atlantic over the years.
