This week we were privileged to have the amazing Satomi with us in Melbourne ❤️

In 2019, Satomi came to us about sending First Crop green to Japan for her to roast. After some discussions, we all decided to put together .

I can’t tell you how many people told us ‘it will never work, the market is different, you can’t do it’. Blah. Blah. Blah. It never ceases to amaze me, how many people with no experience owning a business are prepared to throw in their 2 cents.

Alas, this post is a celebration of an incredible, kind, passionate and hard working woman, who took 2 pallets of green coffee, and changed the landscape of green coffee in Japan. When I think of what Satomi has achieved, I’m always blown away by her resilience and passion. If you go by what the haters said, she did the impossible. But if you ask me, she did exactly what we knew she could do.

you’re amazing, we love you and we’re so proud of what you’ve done. There’s more to do, and there’s no one we’d rather have by our side.
