As we welcome Rosh Hashanah and the Jewish New Year, we want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you for your love, your loyalty, your support and your patronage. Thank you for choosing Lenny’s, bringing us into your homes and sharing our food around your tables.

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of your celebrations, your family traditions and, of course, all those moments when only a little Lenny’s will do.

From our family to yours, we wish you and your families a Shana Tova U’Metuka, a happy, healthy and sweet New Year, filled with good food, good health, laughter and love.

WHY DO WE HAVE AN ORDER CUT-OFF DATE?

If we were given a flower every time someone asked, “Just one more order… can you sneak it in?” we’d have more flowers than a florist.

And honestly, we understand.
Sometimes plans change, extra family arrives, or you simply realise you need just one more thing. We really do get it.

But once our orders close, that’s when the very big Lenny’s machine starts moving.

Behind the scenes we’re:

→ Ordering from our suppliers
→ Finalising the staff roster
→ Creating all the packaging labels
→ Ordering mountains of vegetables
→ Ordering meat & fish
→ Starting the endless production of fresh chicken soup
→ Processing, printing & summarising every single order
→ Updating our POS with all the seasonal items and prices
→ And then, of course… actually cooking it all!

We’re a small family business, with a small team, and we make an enormous amount of food from scratch.

The cut-off isn’t about being difficult or saying no for the sake of it. It’s about giving our team enough time to plan properly, buy properly, cook properly and, most importantly, make sure your order is exactly what you asked for.

So when we say “orders are now closed”, please know there is a whole lot of work happening behind that little sentence.

And if you’ve ever asked us to “just squeeze one more in”…
we love you.
We really do.

But sometimes the answer has to be “sorry, we really can’t.”

But don't fret! We'll have plenty available for walk ins from 8.00am Thursday morning.

There are plenty of places to buy food. So why Lenny’s?

Because carrying a boot full of groceries 200 metres down the road is nobody’s idea of fun.

We’ll carry your bags to the car. Yes, we still do that.

EASY SHOPPING
Need it delivered? We’ll deliver.
Can’t get in? Call us, we’ll take your payment over the phone.
Want to stay in the car? Curbside collection.

A LOT OF CHOICE
Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, fructose-friendly, kosher, non-kosher… we try to have something for everyone.

FLEXIBILITY
Don’t see exactly what you want? Ask us.
We’re happy to adjust a recipe just for you, we’ll simply schedule it into the next cook cycle.

WE ACTUALLY COOK THE FOOD
Around 90% of the food we sell is made by Mark, Natalie & the team. Not assembled. Not unwrapped. Not “finished off”.
Actually cooked.

WE KNOW OUR CUSTOMERS
We know the regulars. We know the orders. We know who likes extra sauce, who wants the crispy schnitzels and who will absolutely complain if their usual isn't ready.

WE ANSWER THE PHONE
A real person. Who knows what’s going on. Revolutionary stuff.

GENEROUS PORTIONS
Because when we say “single serve”, we mean you should actually be able to eat it and not be hungry afterwards.

WE’RE FAMILY OWNED
Mark & Natalie are here. The team is here. We’re hands-on, every day.

Lenny’s isn’t perfect. We’re not trying to be.

ROAST VEGETABLES
Sometimes you’re time poor.
Sometimes you’re kitchen-skill poor.
Sometimes you just can’t be bothered.

That’s where we come in.
A tray packed with roasted vegetables: potatoes, pumpkin, corn, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, brussels sprouts, onion… basically, if it grows, we’ll probably roast it.

All the chopping, seasoning and roasting done for you.You just take it home, heat it up and accept the compliments.

Easy.
Delicious.
No kitchen heroics required.

SUNDAY SHABBAT
You could argue the theme

Our original intent was English Sunday Roast (Mark’s idea). I was thinking more along the lines of a Hotel Carvery.

Either way, the theme seemed to work… we had a full house of around 20 people!

Menu
> Rib Eye (carved off the bone)
> Pork leg & cracking (don't worry it was cooked at home)
> duck fat potatoes
> peas with bacon
> mini Brussel sprouts with honey
> blanched carrots atop botanical cuisine beetroot
> sugarloaf cabbage grilled on a bed of TAHINI NERI labneh
> salad with fennel & dates topped with Drizzle Dressing
> Yorkshire puddings
> Mark's delicious meat dripping gravy
Dessert
> fruit platter (always)
> bosenberg parfait Gelato Messina
> macadamia tart Aviv Cakes & Bagels
> Mark's sisters family favourite pavlova (thanks Dinah Stimar )
> the tic tic trend I just had to try (chocolate ripple biscuits, frozen Raspberries & apple juice) baked brownie - which was bloody delicious!

GUMBO
Straight out of southern Louisiana.

Gumbo is a rich, deeply flavoured stew built on a dark, slow-cooked roux.

Before anyone starts looking for the okra and prawns - ours doesn't have either. Still gumbo. Still very much Louisiana.

Rich. Hearty. Full of flavour.
Basically, a bowl of comfort but in true Lenny's fashion, we've made a little adjustment… no onion.

PUMPKIN & RICOTTA RAVIOLI 🎃l
No one can say our portion sizes aren’t generous.

These containers are 1L capacity - and we fill them to the brim. We still consider this a single serve… so enjoy!

Little parcels of pumpkin & ricotta goodness, swimming in a rich vegetable tomato sauce with mushrooms, peas, olives & roasted vegetables.

Comfort food? Absolutely.
Vegetables? Also absolutely.

Basically, we’ve found a way to make vegetables taste like a really good idea.

Soft, pillowy potato gnocchi made fresh and available in-store throughout the week.

For catering, we served it two delicious ways:

Can't decide between creamy or tomato? Neither can we.

Creamy mushroom for when you're after a warm hug in a bowl.

Olive, eggplant & capers in passata for when you're feeling a little Mediterranean.

No judgement if you order both. In fact, we encourage it.

N**e gnocchi ready to be dressed available in-store or order it "sauced" as part of your next catering spread.
