🍝 Pici allo Scarpariello for our Lunch Special

Simple. Bold. Unforgettable.

Our Pici, tossed in a vibrant cherry tomato sauce, finished with Parmigiano and a touch of fresh basil… a dish that tastes like home 🇮🇹

But what does Scarpariello mean?

It comes from the Neapolitan word for shoemaker 👞 — a humble, traditional dish made with simple ingredients that shoemakers used to enjoy after a long day’s work.

Today, it’s still all about that same idea:

At Made in Casa, we’ve designed a special weekday lunch menu (Monday to Friday) for those who want something delicious, nourishing and perfectly suited to a midday break.

One of our favourites?
Our Tris of “Insalatone.”

In Italy, an insalatona literally means a big, generous salad — but not just greens. It’s a bowl full of vibrant ingredients and rich in protein, created to be satisfying enough to become a complete meal.

We’ve created three beautiful versions:

🥗 Vegetarian Insalatona with creamy buffalo mozzarella
🐟 Tuna Insalatona – fresh, light and full of flavour
🍗 Chicken Insalatona – nourishing and satisfying

Add a little of our homemade bread, and you have the perfect lunch: wholesome, elegant and just the right amount to keep you going through the day.

From Monday to Friday, join us for our Lunch Special Menu — designed for those who want something a little lighter, a little quicker.

Just like everything we do, our lunch dishes are made completely from scratch. Nothing pre-made, nothing shortcuts — only real ingredients and real cooking.

Take our Pici allo Scarpariello, for example:
the sauce isn’t made from canned tomatoes, but from fresh vine-ripened tomatoes, slowly cooked to bring out their natural sweetness and flavour.

Because even when lunch is fast, good food should always be real food.

Who says aperitivo only happens at sunset? At Made in Casa, aperitivo is an experience you can enjoy any time of the day, because we’re open all day, continuous service.

Our Italian aperitivo board is a little celebration of flavour:
🥓 premium cured meats and cheeses imported directly from Italy
🥖 a beautiful basket of homemade bread, grissini and crackers
🍏 house-made apple mostarda
🧅 and our irresistible sweet onion jam

We are so grateful for the love, the laughter, and every guest who has walked through our doors during these first two weeks. It has truly meant the world to us.

This year has been an intense, emotional and incredibly beautiful journey for all of us at Made in Casa.
And as the year comes to an end, it feels even more special — because we also made a big, brave decision:
to change location and give Made in Casa a new home.

A new space… but with the same heart,
the same beautiful team,
and the same love you have always felt when walking through our doors.

We want to say a huge thank you to every single one of you who has supported us, dined with us, celebrated with us and believed in our little Casa.
You are the reason we are here. You are our family.

We are beyond excited (and a little emotional!) to welcome 2026 with open arms —
