Maryborough Police want to make the community and local businesses aware that we have seen an increase in reports regarding the use of counterfeit notes recently.

Below is a photograph of a note recently used to purchase items.

Some pointers:
🤚Feel the note. Does it feel right?
💡Hold up to the light to see a seven-pointed star and the Australian Coat of Arms.
💸Check clear window is part of the banknote.
✍️Is there any other writing on the note such as "prop"
