One of the much-loved stops on our sold-out Tastebud Tour with Tracey Lister was Brunswick Bound, where tour attendees browsed the shelves of the independent bookstore while sampling delicious falafels from Very Good Falafel.

The pairing was a perfect match, with Brunswick Bound proudly stocking Very Good Salads, the cookbook by Shuki Rosenboim and Louisa Allan of Very Good Falafel. It was a chance to celebrate two local businesses that bring people together through great food, great stories and a strong sense of community.

That’s what the Tastebud Tour is all about: meeting the people behind the precinct, discovering the stories behind the food, and experiencing the Sydney Road Brunswick precinct’s eateries and specialty food businesses one stop at a time.

A huge thank you to the teams at Brunswick Bound and Very Good Falafel for the warm hospitality, and to Tracey for leading a fantastic evening of great food, local stories and delicious discoveries.

One of the delicious stops on our sold-out Tastebud Tour with Tracey Lister was Madonna Electric, where owner John welcomed the group and shared a little about the restaurant, their approach to pizza, and what goes into creating their signature light, crispy bases.

From dough that's cold fermented for days to quality ingredients and plenty of Nonna-inspired nostalgia, every pizza tells a story - and getting to hear it straight from the person behind the business makes every bite taste even better.

That's what the Tastebud Tour is all about: meeting the people behind the precinct, discovering the stories behind the food, and experiencing the Sydney Road Brunswick precinct's eateries one stop at a time.
