Break 40 isn’t rebranding, it’s redefining.
For years, one of the questions we’ve been asked most is, “What does Break 40 actually mean?” The answer has always been part of our story, but for the first time, our new logo truly brings that story to life.
The “Break” is a nod to our Greek heritage and the tradition of breaking plates. A tradition synonymous with celebration, joy and the unmistakable energy of Greek culture. It represents those moments around the table when the food keeps coming, the conversations get louder, family and friends come together and a simple meal becomes a memory.
The “40” is our shop number. What began as an address became our name, our home and the place where so many of those moments have happened.
When it came time to evolve Break 40, we realised we didn’t need to search for a new meaning. We needed to better represent the meaning that had been there all along. So, quite literally, we broke the plate. Our new logo takes the Greek plate and breaks it through the centre, with 40 sitting at its heart, bringing the two halves of our name together in one mark.
Same name, same heart, now with an identity that finally shows you what Break 40 really means.
