De coração
I’ve been trying to find the right words to write this, and I honestly don’t think there’s an easy way to say it.
After two years, OBA will be closing its doors for the last time on 23 August. 🤍
OBA was never just a café to me. It was a dream, a huge part of my life, and a place where I put so much of myself into every little detail.
Over these past two years, I’ve met so many people, made friendships, shared countless coffees, meals, conversations and memories. Some of you came in as customers and somehow became familiar faces, friends, and part of OBA’s story.
Recently, I made some personal choices about the next chapter of my life. They are choices that are important to me, but unfortunately mean that I can no longer give OBA the time and presence it deserves.
Closing something you built from the ground up is not easy. There’s a lot of sadness in saying goodbye, but also so much gratitude.
Gratitude for every person who walked through our doors.
For every coffee ordered, every meal shared, every kind word, every recommendation, every busy morning and every quiet one.
You made OBA what it was.
So, before we close, I hope you’ll come see us one more time.
One more coffee.
One more meal.
One more morning at OBA.
Thank you for these two years.
Thank you for trusting me.
And thank you for being part of this little dream of mine.
I’ll always be incredibly proud of what OBA became. 🤍
See you until the 23rd.
