HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIP!!!
Ten years ago, Sip was just one woman, one coffee machine, & a slightly unrealistic amount of optimism.
Today?
5 shops.
Over 20 incredible staff.
Thousands upon thousands of coffees.
And a community we never could’ve imagined.
It’s been one hell of a ride.
Over the years we’ve watched customers become friends, & friends become family.
We’ve had staff leave because they thought the grass was greener… only to discover it wasn’t nearly as well caffeinated, & wander back through the door. Turns out we’re pretty hard to quit.
We’ve survived COVID, opening businesses that didn’t quite go to plan (we’re looking at you, Hervey Bay…) sleepless nights, early mornings, & enough unexpected plot twists to fill a Netflix doco.
Walker Street has always been the favourite child… but Torbanlea has quietly marched in, stolen my heart & taken the crown (sorry, Walker Street, I still love you, just… differently).
10 years ago, this was one person taking a chance.
Today it’s a team of more than 20 amazing humans who show up every day, look after each other, & look after our customers like they’re old friends.
To every customer who’s become part of our story, every staff member who’s helped write it, & everyone who’s supported us through every brilliant & ridiculous chapter..

Here’s to 10 years of coffee, community, controlled chaos… & proving that sometimes the best things start with just one person brave enough to give it a crack.
