Thank you Powerhouse for allowing us to continue our business after the floods. We are very grateful for you & the friendships we have made along the way.

To our family, most importantly Gma, Sammy, Mal & Aunty Jo & our beautiful friends, we are truly grateful to our amazing friends and family for your unwavering support. Your kindness, encouragement, and love have meant the world to us, and we couldn’t have navigated this journey without you. Thank you for standing by us through thick and thin.

Trip Down memory lane #4..

The dreaded floods in 2022 (6 weeks apart)
This really knocked us for 6.. while still recovering from the first flood, we were hit with the 2nd. We really couldn't close again & needed to trade while we cleaned up the shop. (We had some beautiful people help us clean, while we re arranged the new space 💛)

After a couple of phone calls, we had the keys to the Powerhouse Community Centre & within a couple of days we were trading. This was originally on a temp basis, but it was all going so well, we stayed, permanently. Within a couple of months, the complete fit out was completed. After such, we re-arranged the furniture toooo many times, but finally settled on the layout we have today! 😀

This area has allowed us to host large groups of 40+ including but not limited to Providing breakfast on Christmas Day to those who are having a tough time, Noosa Sourdough Info Session, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea, Car Clubs, Ladies Catch ups, Probus Club, Christmas Parties, Celebrations of Life just to name a few..

Our shop even went mobile for the Relish Food & Wine Festival! 😉

That about sums up the archives.. Thanks for joining & reminiscing on where we started & where we are now. It certainly was a massive journey, with lots of pivot points along the way. It was necessary to adapt to suit the community & the climate.

& we thank you for your support along the way.

Trip Down memory lane #3!

Pre MAD PROVIDORE days, I think 2018, we were MAD Stylists.. known for our picnic settings, balloon garlands, catering & grazing tables!

We were apart of sooooo many amazing events; baby showers, gender reveals, engagement parties, weddings, date nights, anniversaries, celebrations of life, fundraisers, graduations, awards ceremonies, corporate & small business bookings, just to name a few .. all of the photos below, we can remember who it was for, where it was, what it was for etc. They all hold a special place in our heart! It was an honour to be apart of so many special milestones, especially those businesses, couples & families who invited us back for each special celebration. 💗

Cant forget about the Gatakers Artspace Exhibitions, Relish Food & Wine Festivals, Australia Day Awards & we were selected to cater in 2019, the ALL WHITE PARTY, Diner en Blanc - Fraser Coast! I'm sure there are plenty more, but right now they are not coming to mind. 🫠

Couple of stand outs were the cheese wheel tower & dessert station for Leesa's wedding, the boho picnic setting for Yasmin's baby shower, the bridal suite breakfast we created for the morning of Emma's wedding & winning the Wedding Caterer of the year award 4 years in a row 🏆

But it couldn't all be pretty.. some of the not so glamorous stand outs were the numerous beach picnics we had to pack down while the tide was coming in...with water lapping the rugs in the dark (I don't think we've moved so fast) the midnight pack downs, hauling HEAVY picnic tables from the car (which was packed to the rafters!) sometimes up/ down hills, up stairs etc.. & setting up balloon garlands in the heat.. Really tested our mother, daughter relationship 😅😳

Once we opened the Providore & it started to take off, we unfortunately had to cease 85% of this side of the business, it was getting a bit too much!

Trip down memory lane, #2!

🎉 We celebrated & decorated most holidays! Christmas, Aussie Day, Mothers Day, Easter etc. (thanks to Michelle for being so creative & having an abundance of decorations)

🍩 We introduced 🍩 donut day 🍩 & we swore to NEVER make donuts again… we will leave that up to the professionals who have the equipment & save so much time hand rolling & shaping 😅 you guys went bananas for them! But no, never again..

🐄 We were introduced to Robbie from Wide Bay Dairy Fresh & started stocking & using the beautiful local milk! 😍

🪧 we were successful in a grant, which allowed us to purchase some outdoor seating & outdoor signage. Really made such a difference & people started noticing us more.

🧀 & of course LOTS of cheese deliveries. Who remembers when Alisha accidentally ordered 25kg of Raclette instead of 3kg? 🤣 (I hope you’re reading this Katie & having a good giggle)

Would you like to join us for a trip down memory lane? Over the next couple of days we’ll be sharing photos from the archives of our time in business!

As some of you know, we originally started in the old Robins Nest Cafe! (Opposite the town hall)

After numerous buckets of water, scrubbing the cabinets & floor, getting it up to scratch for council, adding in walls, upgrading the electricity etc. we finally got our artwork added to the walls then came all the trucks with equipment & stock 😅 was mayhem for a bit! But many hands made light work. We’re talking 13 fridges & freezers + stainless steel benches etc.

Opening day was September 21, 2020! Right in the middle of covid… Uncle Dave was security on the door for a couple of days, only allowing a certain number of people in at a time..

It was a crazy couple of weeks as everyone came in to see what the fuss was all about! We were absolutely stoked everyone was loving what we had created. 💗

Heartfelt Thank You from MAD Providore 💗

As many of you know, our business has been on the market for over 12 months now. While we’ve received some interest, the sale has not yet come to fruition. After much consideration, Alisha and Helen have decided it’s time to embark on our personal adventures, which means that MAD Providore will be closing its doors for good. Our final day of trading will be close of business on Friday 17th January 2025.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend our deepest thanks to all of you who have supported us over the years—whether it was through early days with picnic settings, grazing tables, and platters via MAD Stylists, or with deli delights, coffee, and toasties at MAD Providore.

We will truly miss the daily interactions with our regulars and the vibrant energy of our wonderful community. Your support has meant the world to us, and we’ve loved being a part of your lives.

Thank you for everything. We will cherish these memories forever.

Both of us will be working this weekend Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th as well as working our final shift together on Friday 17th Jan. We’d love to see you.
