Located on the Stuart Highway since 1982, Marla Travellers’ Rest is a busy roadhouse, hotel/motel, restaurant, service station, supermarket, bar and more — all in one place.
We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on Assistant Manager to help lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operation of this diverse business. You’ll work alongside experienced managers with plenty of support, guidance and training.
What you’ll do:
Lead and support a team of up to 30 staff
Deliver great customer service across all areas
Assist with tills, sales, stocktakes, ordering and invoices
Support operations across the kitchen, housekeeping, supermarket and bar
Help keep the business running smoothly in a fast-paced environment
What we’re looking for:
Customer service and POS experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
A proactive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Basic skills in Outlook, Excel and Word
Short-order cooking experience
Current Driver’s Licence and RSA
Police clearance
Management or remote-area experience is an advantage, but not essential — training will be provided.
