Bunuru in Cowaramup just feels right — long light, warm evenings, and everyone staying longer to soak in the vibes. This weekend my favourite festival returns to Pioneer Park and we can’t wait to see the incredible dancers give their all, and the glorious hum from the didgeridoo, that electric feeling, you know the energy.

Proud that I can stand with something again that brings Margies young and old together.

2025 snapshot: annual candlenight success, the plate shop growing (my favourite) and big tuna event with James Parker Sushi. More excitement coming in 2026: return to cabin fever festival, supporting local events; kite festival, bunuru at riflebutts, and The Margaret River Pro (my fave of course). Two masters of Japanese cuisine from city and surf join forces for a one time experience:

James Parker, Sushi & Sake Bar of Northbridge and Miki’s Open Kitchen Margaret River present the blue fin tuna showdown.

Over 2 dates in Perth and down south, watch the master filleting show featuring the extraordinary delicate blue fin tuna, followed by a lunchtime feast.

In the evening experience the best of the south west, served by Miki over 6 courses, featuring Marron, Wagyu and Truffle each dish with his own touch of originality, showing blue fin tuna as the star.
