What a wonderful morning spent with an amazing diverse group of individuals chatting, knitting and coffeeing. Thanks Mel for initiating this much needed group. Meets at cafe forty one Friday mornings at 10am, please feel free to join, bring your knitting needles and crochet hooks or just join in for the conversation. 🙂

We are open for business, from Wedensday 1st December at 8am. All staff have returned a negative test and it is safe to return. 😁😁

Hi all.
We are closed Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th at this stage.
Unfortunately we have had a patron who visited us on Thursday the 25th between 10 am to 1 pm test positive for Covid.
On contacting DHHS we are not a tier 1 exposure site, however to be responsible all staff who worked on that day have been tested and now isolating.
If you attended Cafe Fortyone during those times and feel unwell please get tested.
DHHS have informed us that we may not hear from them, it was us that contacted them, as we were told by a friend of the patron this afternoon. DHHS now call this type of exposure a casual contact and there is no requirement for any action.
We however believe in the Interests of transparency keeping our patrons safe and informed, hence our decisions.

August 18th, The anniversary of the battle of Long Tan, known as Vietnam Veterans’ Day. If you are a Vietnam Vet, Forty One has decided to shout all those who sacrificed, so that we could enjoy the freedoms we enjoy today a FREE COFFEE, all vets are welcome to pop into the cafe between 9am - 3pm and enjoy a coffee on us to signify the gratitude we all feel. See you all Tuesday....

Hello to all our wonderful patrons,

Unfortunately COVID-19 is raging through Melbourne at the moment, causing considerable concern. DHHS and the Victorian Government have, in an attempt to reduce the spread, placed new restrictions on regional areas. These restrictions mean that Forty One will be moving to take-away only until restrictions can be safely lifted.

Trading hours for the rest of this week until the 9th August will be 8am-3pm.
From the 10th August Trading Hours will move to 9am-Close.

In order to keep people safe, we will be taking phone orders.

Anything from our menu can be taken away and enjoyed at home, for those that happen to be passing by you can still pop in, although things may be a little different.

Forty One Position Available

Forty One has a position available for a front of house staff member for approx 30 hrs a week. Must be well groomed, reliable, and have experience in customer service and coffee making. Must be able to work as part of a team.
