What a cracking spring day here in Dawesville!

Blue skies, sunshine, flowers blooming and the estuary looking absolutely beautiful — days like this are pretty hard to beat.

And if all that fresh air happens to make you hungry… we can help with that too. Pop in for a coffee, something sweet from the cabinet, one of our freshly made lunches, or settle in for a proper brekkie. There are fresh flowers on the tables, plenty of good food coming out of the kitchen, and a lovely spot outside to sit and enjoy this glorious spring weather.

Sometimes the simple things really are the best — good food, good coffee, flowers on the table and a beautiful Dawesville day.

We've been asking which night you'd prefer us to open for dinner, both here on Facebook and in the café, and so far Friday night is the very clear favourite!

We're working out the details now, and we'll let you know more soon.

Thanks to everyone who's voted and chatted to us about it. We are excited about what Friday nights could become.

DINNER NIGHTS ARE COMING TO THE LEPRECHAUN!

We're going to be giving evening dining at The Leprechaun a try — and we'd love your help deciding which night it should be!

So… what gets your vote?

We're planning a relaxed evening with good food, good company and the friendly Leprechaun atmosphere you already know — plus, we're BYO, so you can bring along your favourite bottle to enjoy with dinner. 🥂

We're still deciding exactly what our dinner nights will look like, and we'll share more about the food once we've settled on the details.

Meet Alexis.

If you've ever stood at our counter telling yourself “I'm only here for a coffee”… and somehow walked away with a slice of lemon drizzle cake, a scone or a sweet muffin as well, you may have Alexis to blame.

She loves to bake and is responsible for many of those delicious little counter temptations that make it so difficult to leave The Leprechaun with just a coffee.

When she's not baking, she's currently rather smitten with the newest addition to her family — Lloyd, her new long-haired French Bulldog puppy.

And speaking of four-legged friends, did you know The Leprechaun is dog friendly? 🐾
Our outdoor seating means your furry family members are very welcome to join you for your coffee stop.

We're very lucky to have Alexis as part of our little Leprechaun family — although we're still waiting for Lloyd to put in his first shift. 😄

Well hello there!
We've been a little quiet on Facebook lately... but not at the cafe!

The coffee's still flowing, the cakes are still homemade, and there's always someone here ready for a chat.

We're going to get much better at showing you what's happening at The Leprechaun - including what's coming out of the kitchen, what's in the cake display, and perhaps a little mischief from behind the counter.

If you haven't visited us for a while, consider this your friendly reminder 😉

Hello all,
The Leprechaun Cafe will be open ANZAC Day, 25th April, from 4.30am. We will be serving hot drinks prior to the Dawn Service, after which the kitchen will be open for cooked meals from 7am to 2pm. Table bookings for groups recommended!

We will be open 7am to 3pm for the ANZAC Day public holiday, Monday 27th April.
