The Club was formed in the late 1980’s by a group of a dozen like minded people interested in forming a local cycle racing club in the Peel District of Western Australia. Since then the club has grown to its present size of more than 130 members, of which 80 are competitively active. The Club takes its name from the original Peel District which stretched from Pinjarra to Kwinana taking in all of Mandurah and most of Rockingham. Geographically, membership is split roughly one half Rockingham, one quarter Mandurah/Pinjarra and the remaining quarter made up of members from the Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire, Bunbury and south metropolitan areas. The Club has always been at the leading edge of competitiveness and during the last few years has excelled with the achievements of one of the younger members, Peter Dawson, in becoming a Olympic Champion (Team Pursuit 2004), Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, World Champion and the breaking of the World Record on two occasions. The Club has an extremely popular social touring group based in the Rockingham area and riding twice weekly for local sightseeing and coffee stops. The group rides Wednesdays and Sundays and is usually well attended.

A reminder that entries close for our Pickering Brook #1 race TODAY at 5:59PM.

In the interests of us being able to run a race with timing - and to be honest, not stressing out race organisers any more than necessary - there will be NO late entries and NO entries on the day.

So, if you’ve been vacillating on entering, please do not leave this to the last moment and be that person sending a DM at 6:01pm on a Friday night You’ve got all day today to do the thing, so please take that opportunity 😎😎😬

Please also direct any race or entry related query/ies to our race organiser/s so that your query will be answered more quickly. Your trusty Social Media operative is currently situated in a massive Faraday Cage warehouse and barely has a single bar of phone service so isn’t regularly receiving messages and I would hate for anyone to miss out due to my terrible phone service.

A big shout out to two of our U17 Junior club riders… And three Masters riders with the Time Trial starting Thursday:

U17 - Harry Morrison and Jai Roughton
Masters - David Sofield, Mark Smith and Colin Rose.

The 2026 AusCycling Junior & Masters Road National Championships will proceed on the Sunshine Coast with a revised road race course.

Congratulations to Cooper Dunlop from our club who is over riding in the 30th Anniversary of the Tour of Tahiti.

He is guest riding with the CDF team in the 8 stage race and today was Stage 1… Cooper as an U19 came away with the Green Sprint jersey and also the White Young riders jersey.

Keep it up buddy, enjoy the experience and continue riding strong for the rest of the tour.
