Hey guys,
To answers everyone question about stuff we are selling we will be there everyday for the next week and you can pop in from 9:30- late arvo.
There is also the possiblility of another venue but it would be a massive downsize and we also would need a bit more capital than what we were left with after the shock close. Hense trying to get some things sold.

Thanks for all the support over the last couple of weeks we appreciate it more than you know!
We have officially started the pack down and have a lot of stuff to get rid of that we will be selling and also giving some stuff away. So feel to pop in and have a look around for anything you might want. A rough list of things is

And just like that… we closed the doors one final time at Sarah’s Unplugged.

What a weekend. What a chapter. What a community.

To our incredible staff — past and present — thank you for pouring your energy, care, and heart into this space. You helped turn a café into something far greater than coffee and food.

To our loyal suppliers who backed a small family business time and time again — thank you for believing in us.

And to our beautiful locals and customers — you are the reason Sarah’s became what it did. This weekend was emotional beyond words. Seeing so many of you come in, share stories, hug us, laugh with us, and support us one last time was something we will carry forever. It was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. We hold so much gratitude for each and every one of you 💜

A little update on the GoFundMe:
Because we have had to vacate so quickly, the funds raised will be used to assist with legal fees and the significant costs involved in packing down the café over the coming week. Your generosity is helping us navigate this unexpected and incredibly fast transition.

We are actively looking at other locations and exploring what might be possible next. As soon as we know anything concrete, you will all know — and we will absolutely put the call out.

This chapter has been one of the biggest of our lives. Closing it is hard — harder than we can explain. Once we move through this phase (one we truly wish we didn’t have to), we will begin focusing fully on what’s next.

It’s with heavy, shocked and honestly speechless hearts that we’re sharing that this weekend will be our final weekend trading at 31 Maple Street.

This has happened quickly, and we are still processing it ourselves. We’ll share a more detailed update soon — but for now, we wanted our beautiful community to hear it from us and have the chance to come in, share a coffee, a meal, and celebrate this space one last time.

This chapter may be closing… but we are not done yet.

Sarah’s Unplugged has never just been a building. It’s the people, the conversations, the staff, the early mornings, the regulars, the laughter. That heart of who we are remains steady.

We are actively exploring new locations and options. Relocating a café is complex and layered — from leases and fit-outs to approvals, logistics and timing — and we are approaching this next step thoughtfully and sustainably. Our focus right now is protecting what we’ve built, supporting our team, and navigating this transition with care.

While we can’t share firm details just yet, please know we are working hard behind the scenes and will keep you updated as plans unfold.

This weekend, we want this to be a celebration. Come in, fill the space with laughter, stories, hugs and good coffee. Help us close this chapter the way it deserves — surrounded by the community that made it so special.

We want to be open with our community 🤍

After 10 years of running Sarah’s Unplugged as a small family business in Maleny, we’re currently facing a very challenging period.

Due to a recent change in property ownership, we’re now involved in an unexpected lease dispute. As a small, independent café, we simply cannot afford the legal costs required to fight for our café, which has created significant uncertainty around our future. Without a resolution, we will be forced to close our doors within the next two months.

This café has always been about more than serving coffee and food— it’s been about community, connection, and showing up for each other. Sharing this isn’t easy, but we believe in being honest with the people who have supported us for so long.

Right now, we’re still open and continuing to do what we do best: serving our community, supporting our staff.

We just want to apologise to anyone who got caught up in the drama at the café this morning.

Unfortunately, the incident involved a group of older men who have repeatedly made inappropriate and disgusting sexual comments toward some of our younger staff members. When they were asked to leave and refused, things became a little heated, and the police were eventually called to es**rt them off the property.

We’re truly sorry if this disrupted anyone’s visit — it’s the last thing we ever want to happen in our café. That said, we absolutely stand by our team and our decision. This kind of behaviour will never be tolerated here.
