Once a month, our sweet little café stops pretending to be respectable and transforms into a full-blown Saturday night party.

☕️ WANTED: Coffee Maker & All-Round Cafe Superstar ☕️

We're looking for one amazing human to join our cafe team in the beautiful Daintree.

Yes, you need to know how to make a great coffee... but this isn't a "stand behind the coffee machine and look pretty" kind of job. We're a small, busy cafe, which means everyone pitches in and no two days are ever the same!

What you'll be doing:
☕ Making great coffee
🥪 Helping with food prep and service
🧹 Cleaning and keeping the cafe looking its best
😊 Looking after customers
🙌 Jumping in wherever needed

What we're looking for:
✔️ Confident barista skills
✔️ A positive attitude and strong work ethic
✔️ Available 4–5 days per week (with the possibility of extra shifts)
✔️ Own accommodation and reliable transport
✔️ Available to start ASAP
✔️ Temporary casual position

The location: 🌴 Daintree, Far North Queensland

We're after someone who sees a job that needs doing and just gets on with it. Someone who can smash out coffees during a rush, then happily switch gears and help with whatever the day throws at them.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who wandered through our doors last night and helped make our Open Mic Night such a fantastic evening.

To the performers who bravely took to the stage and shared their music and talents — you were incredible. 🎶❤️

To the revellers who sang along, cheered, laughed and created such a warm, welcoming and fun atmosphere — thank you for bringing the good vibes. 🍻✨

To the hungry folk who kept our kitchen busy, thanks for tucking in 💪🏻

To Medi the tireless pocket rocket who never stops encouraging people to release their inhibitions and get into the fun 🤩

One thing we were reminded of yet again is just how much talent we have right here in our little corner of the world. We are lucky to be surrounded by some truly gifted neighbours and it's a privilege to provide a space where that talent can shine.

We’ve got some very enthusiastic new customers at Crossroads Café… and they’re arriving in a full swarm formation 🐝😅

A large swarm of bees has decided our place is apparently the tropical destination this week. While we fully respect their commitment to local produce and community living… we’d really love them relocated safely by someone who knows what they’re doing.

If anyone local is a beekeeper, knows a beekeeper, or can safely remove and rehome a swarm, please message us ASAP 🐝💛

We want the bees protected, the humans un-stung, and the coffees flowing again ☕😂
