WHAT. A. WEEK.
When we decided to open a little café in the heart of Lindisfarne, we expected a handful of people to visit, but oh boy, we were so wrong.
It is an absolute privilege to be greeted by the community like this. The love and support we have received this week makes our hearts burst and reminds us why we did all this. We wanted to create a place where everybody belongs and can be together.
This week I wouldn't have survived without the help of my amazing family and friends - thanks to all of you - the ones who jumped behind the counter, the ones working in the background, the ones who checked in and made sure I'm not losing my mind 😅, the ones taking care of our children and especially a big fat thank you to my husband Zac, who works so hard at his job and then came to the shop every night to help me clean up and get sorted for the next day while sorting out the insurance aim for our flooded house.
Going into this next week I feel a lot more at ease knowing we have two new staff members joining us to keep up with the demand for sandwiches and drinks. We are also so lucky to have the best suppliers who have been squeezing in my last minute orders.
