🔥 What a weekend at the Whitey’s Meat Smoking Comp! Such an even comp with all the protein's being supplied by the event.

A huge thank you to the Walgett Show Society Inc. for putting on such an awesome event.

We had an absolute blast, pushed ourselves out of our comfort zone, and tried a few new things we’d never cooked before!

Even better was meeting so many great people along the way — such a top community and an event we’re already looking forward to again!

Results for the weekend.
🥇 1st in Brisket
🥇 1st in Lamb
🥇 1st in Open Category (our Apple Crumble!)
🥈 2nd in Pork Ribs

Which means… we took out the Overall Win 🎉😁

Shout out to Jim for the chats Bluebird Kitchen and Smokehouse as we got to try their rubs and sauces. AAA+++
and as usual using the Bullockhead Creek Smokers offset rig.

Nice and chilly morning in Walgett!! Having a little bit of fun at the Walgett Show Society Inc. Bbq comp.. Even playing field with all the proteins being supplied. 1x Brisket, 1 x whole chook, 1 x . set of pork ribs, Plus an open category.. As well as Free beer for the day!!
