A few people have been asking about the new chef who has been coming up with these delicious specials, so we’d like to introduce you to our local lad Louis. Louis Debast has taken on the job since March after working as a cook at the Hub Pub since opening our doors.

Louis is a passionate cook who loves creating and tasting Japanese cuisine but also incorporates a touch of European influence into his cooking due to his Belgian roots.

He's currently living a fascinating, jam packed life combining a job as a lab assistant at a flavour creating company in Ballarat, studying a double degree in food technology and business at RMIT university, playing footy for the Lexton tigers and being committed to this job at the Hub Pub.

Louis has built up some hands on kitchen experience from working at the Pyrenees Hotel, the Avoca Hotel and Wayward Winery.

He really enjoys supporting the younger kitchen staff and fostering a positive environment at the hub. Louis is looking forward to serving you some nice flavours at our local community run pub.

This Saturday, the Hup Pub will be catering for the football club’s sponsors, life members, past players and premiership reunion day.

The Hub Pub will still be open to the public, so everyone is welcome to join in.

To optimize the flow, we will be offering beef, pork and lamb spit roast with salads and roasted spuds only. Fruit Crumble for dessert.
$25 per person.

Reduced menu on Thursday as usual and full menu will be available Friday.

The Lexton Community Hub extends its deepest sympathy to the Pora family on the sad passing of Rhonda.

Rhonda was a highly valued employee of the Lexton Hub Pub and a dedicated volunteer who gave so much to our community. Her friendly nature, willingness to help others, and warm presence made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rhonda’s contribution to the Hub and the wider Lexton community will be remembered with great appreciation. She was an important part of our community spirit, always ready to lend a hand and support those around her.

On behalf of the Lexton Community Hub, we thank Rhonda for her service, kindness, and friendship. She will be deeply missed by staff, volunteers, patrons, and the entire community.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Rhonda’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.

This Saturday the Hub Pub will be closed for a private function.
