One whole year since we shut the doors! While we had so many ups and downs in the 6 years we had the cafe and a couple prior with wholesale, festivals and markets. This was definitely one night to remember ❤️ thanks for all the love and support, we miss you guys ###

COMPETITION TIME

Has everyone heard about ‘Dominion’? This groundbreaking new documentary from Chris Delforce is premiering in Sydney this Saturday night. We have such respect and admiration for this incredible filmmaker - and for all the activists who put themselves at risk every day to gather evidence so that we can bear witness to the atrocities people put animals through, and try to change peoples minds and hearts.

When Rubyfruit was trading we donated to the Chuffed crowd funding campaign for this important work, and as a result two tickets arrived in our email inbox recently but sadly we can’t go!

SO we would like to give you guys the chance to win them. Just comment on this post saying who you would take and why. Two things are important 1. the person you want to take has to be up for going! No surprising them - this is gonna be amazing but full-on and they have to be ready!
2. You both have to be available to go THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON at 2pm at the Opera Quays, Sydney.

Seeking owner - silver baby cup ❤️

Last year on Mother’s Day we had a lovely little boy come into Rubyfruit in Leura with his mum. He treated her to afternoon tea and paid with a cup full of coins, but left the cup behind. We’ve held on to the cup hoping we would have a chance to return it. Please help us find him so we can return it. If this sounds like your beautiful son, please pm me. Really hoping we can get it back to you ❤️

Well. What a week it’s been. That’s a wrap, folks. Big thanks to everyone who has sent love and support, and all of you who came in to see us on what would actually turn out to be our most epic week ever! We are sad, and happy, and excited. And completely pooped! Massive thanks to our beautiful guys - Chris and Japhy - who worked their butts off (even more than usual) to get us over the finish line. And infinite love and gratitude to our family and friends who have gone above and beyond to keep our doors open and our family in one piece these last few years- words can’t begin to express how much we appreciate you all. Special mention to Nadine who has been by our side - and had our backs - every step of the way, since the early crazy market days. And to our parents who have always supported us and held their tongues the many times I’m sure they wanted to tell us we were nuts. This has been the adventure of a lifetime. Thank you for having us - Cheers 🥂

Hey friends. We’ve got some news. This week will be our last at Rubyfruit. We’ve loved this adventure, and this past year has been the best yet! That said, we’ve decided its time to prioritise our family, and find something to do with our days that allows us to spend more quality time with the people we love (not that we don’t love you!). Thank you all so much for your love and support since 2012 (and beyond). It’s been amazing. We close the doors 4pm this coming Tuesday. Hopefully we’ll see you soon! And watch this space for more info on future rubyfruit incarnations. You never know 😉 Maybe one day. So much love and thanks xx Amanda and Simone

Just a reminder that Rubyfruit has different hours this weekend due to family commitments! We'll be open today from 10-2.30 (kitchen closes at 2) and tomorrow we'll be closed. Thanks for your understanding! Perhaps we'll see you soon for an Iced Chai - or two 😉 Keep cool, folks x
