❤️ ALL FOR JOEY ❤️

We recently held a fundraiser for Joey... a beautiful boy who was heartbreakingly close to being euthanised before the North East Animal Sanctuary Tasmania stepped in and saved him. Joey requires significant surgeries totaling over ten thousand dollars and in need of help our community rallied in a way that has been nothing short of inspiring.

To our West Tamar and Evandale communities — thank you. Your kindness, generosity, and compassion remind us why we’re proud to live and work here.

With your donations, and $1 from every coffee sold, we raised $2,961.75 for Joey. Your support turned an ordinary week into something deeply meaningful.

Our donation containers will stay on the counters, and we’ll continue supporting Joey personally.

🐶 Thank you West Tamar but we’re not done yet!

Your generosity over the past week has been incredible. Thanks to coffee sales, local business support, and the kindness of our community, our tally for Joey has now reached around $1,800.

With Joey’s double bilateral cruciate surgery happening this Friday, we’re pushing hard to get that total even higher.

We’re still donating $1 from every coffee sold, and our donation box is on the counter for anyone who’d like to chip in.

Come on West Tamar, let’s keep this rolling and let’s get this for Joey ❤️🐾

Joey’s story has touched our hearts, and we’re lending a hand to support his upcoming surgery.

From tomorrow until next Thursday, we’ll be donating $1 from every coffee sold, and we’ve also popped a donation box on our counter.

Many of you know what a passionate animal lover I am, and you'll also know how much I admire the incredible work Michelle and her team do every single day for animals in need.

Michelle Jesson is the founder of North East Animal Sanctuary and sweet little Joey — or Jo Jo as he's affectionately known — is a perfect example of why their work matters so much.

Michelle is constantly working to cover mounting vet bills, and Joey, who was recently surrendered, is urgently in need of two surgeries. This gorgeous two-year-old boy deserves every chance at a full and happy life, and none of us want to see that taken away from him.

(Update: We’re thrilled to share that the Owners of Cafe Romero have offered $1 from the sale of every coffee for the next week to aid Joey’s surgeries. Please support this exceptional business and thank you so much for your support and generosity ❤️)

Joey is currently suffering from bilateral cruciate ligament issues as well as entropion in both eyes — a condition where the eyelids turn inward, causing constant pain and irritation. Once these surgeries are done, he can finally live the comfortable, pain-free life he deserves.

If you're able to spare any amount at all — no matter how small — every single cent makes a real difference. Donations are also fully tax deductible, so you can give knowing it counts in more ways than one.
