Stonegrill is a new, exciting & unique interactive dining experience that presents your meal cooking on a 400°C volcanic stone at your table. The unique method & high temperature, sears in all the natural juices & nutrients, enhancing the full flavours & tenderness of your meal. Stonegrill is internationally recognised as one of the healthiest methods of cooking, as all produce is completely trimmed of fats & no added oils are used. Your meal will remain hot & enjoyable, allowing you to dine at leisure, with every bite as hot & delicious as the first as the stone remains very hot for approx. 35 minutes & hot for over an hour. Calling all waffle fans 🧇 for the next two weeks we have entered ourselves into the wafflelicious YOUR GUIDE TO THE CITY waffle competition!

Who has the best dad joke this weekend?!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us over the weekend to celebrate Father’s Day. Our teams very much enjoyed reading all the dad jokes out at the end of the day.. we have chosen after a lot of laughter & debate 4x unique dad jokes ( one from each service lunch & dinner at both Cataract & Rupert )

This was a very hard decision with over 200
Jokes, there were definitely a lot of funny ones, creative ones, a few doubled up, a few we had seen in Xmas bon bons before as well as some funny inappropriate ones for social media!

However we will be calling Chris & Ned who dined at Rupert yesterday and Matt & Paul who dined at Cataract to let them know their dad jokes were the winners of a voucher from us!

Happy Father’s Day! ✨ 🍺 👔

We are glad to see the weather got the memo for today’s special occasion to celebrate all the dads out there! We know how much dad likes a cold beer, check out today’s beer & co line up. 🍺

We will be open for lunch from 11.30am & dinner from 5pm to celebrate. Bookings highly encouraged.

Our clever pastry team has created this Tasmanian whisky & dark chocolate mousse dessert - with toasted hazelnuts, a salted caramel cream, chocolate brownie & Chocolate soil. Does this sound like something dad might like to enjoy this weekend?

🎂 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻! 🥜💰

Usually found behind the scenes keeping the numbers in line, the bills paid and the rest of us under control, today we finally managed to snap a photo of our fabulous 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿. It did take some convincing.

"Promise it won't hit our socials!" 😂😂

Sorry Susan… 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 on that one. 🤣

Susan knows where every dollar went, why it went there, probably who authorised it and tolerates all our "quick questions" while somehow managing to smile at the end of it.

Little-known fact: deep down, Susan is 𝗮 𝗣𝗘 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆. 🏃‍♀️ PE was the dream, but spreadsheets and budgets were just too much fun !! 😂😂

Our beautiful bubbly Leah is celebrating her last night with us before heading off to maternity leave before the arrival of her precious baby boy. 🩵

We have been so excited to see another baby grow within the team & we can’t wait to meet this bundle of joy. We will miss you Leah but can’t wait to welcome you back.

If you have some parenting advice for Leah or a special baby tip please share with her as a first time mum!

Team Cataract has something very special a Schild Estate Shiraz from the Barossa Valley in a Balthazar bottle. That's 12 litres. Sixteen regular bottles or 80 glasses in one!

No AI here — that bottle really is almost as tall as Reily.🤣

One of the winter favourites! Our chocolate fondant is decadent, rich & oh so delicious. Featuring Tasmanian Anvers Tasmania & Elly’s Gourmet Confectionery caramel popcorn this is a must try on our dessert menu!
