Hi everyone,

This time of year has something special about it. A sense of excitement fills the hearts and minds of children, hoping for a visit from the Easter Bunny. An opportunity to slow down, and perhaps have some moments of quiet reflection, for those of us more advanced in years. But most importantly, it is one of the few times each year that the desire for family connection, of togetherness, seems to permeate the hearts of many.

As such, we will be closed this coming Sunday for Easter. This will give our staff the opportunity to have some time to relax, to unwind, to spend time with family so that they can continue to give all of you, our valued customers, the very best service and experience possible.

We hope you all have a wonderful Easter time, no matter how (or indeed if) you celebrate.

NEW FLAVOUR ALERT

As we prepare to celebrate Easter, we have been hard at work developing and perfecting a new Easter-themed flavour - and here it is!

HOT CROSS BUN ICE CREAM

A delicious ice cream infused with cinnamon and nutmeg, with plump juicy sultanas, this is sure to satisfy the craving for a hot cross bun - just completely gluten-free of course!

Available now, while stocks lasts!

It's Launceston Cup Day today, which means (locally at least) a public holiday...

But never fear, The Devil's Own Ice Creamery is open to cater to your need for tasty treats from 11am until 6pm.

Why not pop in and grab an ice cream or cold drink on the way to having a picnic or let the kids play off some steam at City Park, or come and dine in for some delicious waffles, pancakes or fried chicken?

To keep going with our new flavours, we've decided to make a slight switch-up of an old-time favourite, and I think this time it's even better!

Black Forest Ice Cream!!

We used to make it with a chocolate ice cream base, but felt that some of the subtler flavours were lost as a result. So now, we have completely take it back to square one, and I think we're onto a real winner!

Vanilla bean ice cream, with chunks of soft, fudgey home-made mud cake, and lashings of cherry sauce made from fresh cherries.... honestly, theres nothing more that can be said... we'll let the ice cream do the talking!

Announcing a first for us at The Devil's Own Ice Creamery.

This is the first time we have made a flavour inspired by someone. And boy, is it unique!!

According to our research, the Foo Fighters generally start their show by having a shot of Jagermeister before going on stage.

With that in mind, given the Foo Fighters being in Launceston for their concert tomorrow, we have created something unforgettable.

The Foo Fighter Sorbet.

Fresh apples from Tasmania, blended with Jagermeister, to create a flavour that is a wonderful balance between the freshness of Granny Smith apples and the botanicals that make Jagermeister so iconic.

Available from tomorrow (Saturday) until stocks run out.

***Please note: while all efforts have been made to cook off the alcohol and leave only the flavour, trace amounts of alcohol may be present.

New flavour alert - and this one is a DOOZY!!

One of my all-time favourite treats is a good classic Cherry Bakewell tart. The sweetness, the balance of flavour between the almond and the cherry... it has long held a special place in my heart (and my tastebuds!!)

So we have created a new ice cream flavour, inspired by this delicious tart.

Cherry Bakewell ice cream - and I can honestly say, this may yet be my favourite flavour creation!

Made using Disaronno (an Italian cherry-almond flavoured liqueur) for the base ice cream flavour, and a generous swirl of cherry sauce infused with Chambord (a black raspberry brandy) this has all the flavour of a Cherry Bakewell, with no gluten.

Get in while stocks last, because I am pretty sure this is going to sell out extremely quickly!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note from us here at Devil's Own HQ.

Currently there are roadworks happening on Lawrence St, while Council are repaving the footpaths.

This means that there is extremely limited parking on Lawrence St at the moment until the works conclude (possibly by end of today, possibly tomorrow).

Hopefully thos doesn't impact too much on your plans to visit us. We are open from 11am until 6pm Wednesday-Sunday.

Hi everyone,

As we wind closer to Christmas (honestly, where has the year gone??) we wanted to thank all of you who have supported us... whether coming to see us in the van or in-store, or even simply by liking and sharing our posts, you have helped us continue our small family business navigate what has been a real roller-coaster of a year.

When we close our doors at 8pm this Sunday, we will be closed through Christmas and New Year, resuming service on January 2 with our summer hours of 11am-6pm.
