On the eve of opening Things I Know To Be True at the paranaple arts centre, we gratefully acknowledge the support that has made this tour possible.

The Strategic Touring Fund, managed by Tasmanian Performing Arts Centres, plays a crucial role in ensuring Tasmanian productions can reach audiences across the state.

For our production of Things I Know To Be True, this support has helped make it possible to share the work with audiences at the Theatre Royal and paranaple arts centre - extending the life of the production and supporting the work of Tasmanian artists.

Programs like the Strategic Touring Fund help bridge the distance between communities, strengthen partnerships between producers and venues, and ensure productions can be experienced statewide.

Support like this is essential and makes a vital difference to the sustainability of our sector.

We look forward to sharing this beautiful Australian play with audiences on the North West Coast.

A familiar face to many in the Tasmanian theatre community, tonight’s performance marks Ava Cleary’s professional debut — the start of what promises to be a long and exciting career.

We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Ava — don’t miss her soul-affirming performance as Rosie, the youngest Price sibling, as she navigates the joys, challenges, and heart of family life.

This is Mudlark's third consecutive year presenting theatre at the Studio Theatre, and we genuinely value the professionalism, generosity, and care of the entire Theatre Royal team.

Things I Know To Be True opens at the Theatre Royal (Hobart) on Thursday before travelling the highway to the paranaple arts centre (Devonport).

Tasmanian actor Matt Newell, who plays Mark/Mia Price, reflects on the character’s search for identity and belonging; a gentle soul at the centre of a profound moment of self-discovery. Matt brings extraordinary sensitivity and craft to the role, capturing both the vulnerability and quiet strength of this remarkable character.

In Things I Know To Be True, Pip Price is the eldest of the Price siblings – a mother, an educator, and someone carrying a lot of responsibility for the people around her.

Award winning Tasmanian actor Rosie Cann shares what it’s been like stepping into Pip’s world, exploring the weight of those responsibilities and the choices Pip makes as she begins to question the life she’s built and search for something more.

We feel very lucky to have Rosie as part of this wonderful cast and creative team.
