Hello Gigi people,
By now many of you will be aware there's changes coming to the Abbott Street space. You'll also likely know it's been a challenging 2025 for me in terms of health. It's been a big decision but I've decided to pass the baton on to some younger and fresher faces to continue on the Abbott Street coffee tradition. I know you are all going to love what the amazing Kate and Anna Pedley will bring to what we've previously known as Gigi. They are super excited to be taking over the space and will be making some changes to put their own distinctive stamp on it. Stay tuned, they'll be up and running soon.
Meanwhile I'm going to take things a bit easier. I just want to say a huge thank you to all of you who have supported Gigi over the last 10 years. Will and I landed at Gigi knowing nothing about making coffee and running a cafe, and the support you gave us from the beginning was just amazing and so appreciated. It's been wonderful to see it grow into a lovely, community focused space where so many people love to hang out and catch up with new and old friends.
As a local myself I look forward to being a regular customer who drops by.and catches up with all the lovely people enjoying the coffee and chatting to friends
