Our friends at Ned’s Cafe + Bar, Hunter Valley in the Hunter Valley have been whipping up a little something that’s caught our attention.

Cold brew coffee, topped with a dreamy layer of creamy foam and a little dusting of chocolatey goodness. It’s giving cappuccino. It’s giving iced coffee. It’s giving we need one of those immediately.

New beans, new flavours and a pretty special story behind this one!

Meet Sucuri Farm, our latest limited seasonal release, freshly roasted here at Sprocket.

Grown in Brazil’s beautiful Cerrado Mineiro region, this coffee comes from a family farming journey that began back in 1980, when Danilo Barbosa and his father planted their very first coffee trees by hand.

Today, Sucuri Farm produces specialty coffee with a strong focus on quality and caring for the land. And here’s something we particularly love. 🌱

Alongside its coffee production, the farm preserves more than 700 hectares of native vegetation, with tree planting and beekeeping helping to support the surrounding environment.

Planet Persia is about to be your new favourite place. 🌏👀
There’s genuinely no one doing it quite like NZ-Persian artist. Producer, director, creative force and all-round legend CHAII. She’s building her own world and inviting the rest of us in for a look.
Her second album, VIP (Very Important Persian), lands October 16, bringing together her Iranian heritage, New Zealand upbringing and a sound that refuses to sit still. She’s got her hands in pretty much every part of it, from making the music to directing the visuals.

We caught up with CHAII to talk creative freedom, the ideas behind VIP and why she keeps doing things her own way.

𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?

Flat white or latte? Same ingredients. Same coffee shot. Very different cup.

Both start with espresso and steamed milk, so what makes them different?

☕𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 - 𝗔𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!
A shot of espresso served in a low ceramic cup; topped with milk and a half-fingerwidth layer of microfoam. Because there’s a bit less milk (150-180mLtotal volume), you’ll usually taste more of the espresso. Think glossy sheen, stronger and coffee-forward.

🥛𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲
A shot of espresso topped with warm milk and a fingerwidth of microfoam (200-240mL total volume). The extra milk softens and sweetens the espresso flavour. Creamy, soft, and comforting.

So if you want the coffee to take centre stage, go for the flat white. Prefer something longer, milkier and mellow? Latte it is.
