Our little local CFA Toorloo Fire Brigade is currently sitting in 12th spot in the 13th Annual Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb (2026). With your support we can get them up near the top. Support Sam as he carries full fire fighting kit (25kgs) up 28 floors on the 12th of September. Apparently all climbers will also carry the name of one of the American fire fighters that made a similar climb on that fateful day 25 years ago. Nice to see the East Gippsland Winter Festival starting to come into view, with the program running from 19 June to 19 July and bringing light, food, music, art and culture across the region. That sort of thing gives winter a bit more life.

WOW! The local Good Friday Appeal’s 2026 total came in at a record $25,268,485, which is a pretty decent reminder that people still show up when it counts. Well done and thank you to everyone involved.
