🌧️🥶 THE COVE HAS OFFICIALLY SURRENDERED TO THE WEATHER 🥶🌧️

Good morning everyone!

We’ve looked outside.
We’ve checked the temperature.
We’ve watched the wind.
We’ve considered our options…

…and we’ve decided NOPE. 😂

With Mother Nature apparently waking up this morning and choosing violence, The Cove will be CLOSED for the day.

It’s cold. It’s wet. It’s miserable. And quite frankly, even the pelicans look like they’ve had enough. 🐦😂

So today we’re taking the sensible option — staying warm, keeping dry and pretending spring is still planning on turning up at some stage. 🌧️💨🥶

We’ll be back serving up the brew that is true as soon as the weather remembers we live in Australia and not Antarctica. ☕️😂

💙☕ HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM THE COVE! ☕💙

There are plenty of ways to describe a dad.

He’s the bloke who taught you how to kick a footy, bait a hook, mow a lawn and hold a torch while he fixed something — usually while telling you that you weren’t holding the torch properly. 😂

He’s the king of the terrible joke, the backyard BBQ, questionable fashion choices and the famous words, “Don’t pay someone to do that, I can fix it.”

Sometimes he even can. 😁

But underneath all the dad jokes, advice and occasional stubbornness is something pretty special.

Dads are often the people quietly standing behind us. Picking us up when things go wrong, celebrating when things go right and somehow always being there when we really need them.

So today, whether Dad is sitting beside you enjoying a coffee and a good feed, getting a phone call from somewhere far away, or being remembered with a smile and perhaps a tear, we hope you take a moment to celebrate him. ❤️

Here in Lakes Entrance, we’re pretty lucky. A beautiful part of the world, a wonderful community, and hopefully today, a little time to slow down and enjoy the people who matter most.

So bring Dad across the bridge, shout him a coffee, buy him a decent feed and — just for today — let him tell that story you’ve already heard 47 times. 😂☕
