For dining, you will find here one of the rarest pizza in Australia. Following the traditional Napolitan style, our pizza dough is slowly fermented for 72 hours and hand-stretched to order. This fermentation process breaks down the grain's acid, making the pizza easier to digest. In result, we get an exquisite old-world style pizza base, with just the right amount of chew, crust and crumble. Our Coffee
Petit Cafe serves bio-dynamic, locally grown coffee. The Maloberti plantation is one of the original coffee farms situated on the Cairns Highlands (Atherton Tablelands), a region which produces 70% of Australian coffee. It is an Arabica bean which is sun dried and hand sorted before the roasting process, producing a smooth and flavourful coffee for you to enjoy. Petit Cafe can also cater for Private Functions up to 30 people.

Today , I was back on the tools helping at the cafe for a busy mother day ……

We are a fast paced, highly popular French Creperie and Pizzeria located in Kuranda who is seeking an EXPERIENCED Chef with the possiblity of a Sponsorship. Sponsorships will only be offered to the perfect candidate and the applicants must be located in Australia.

Applicants must posses the following:
SKILLS
▪ Punctuality and reliability
▪ Pleasant, helpful and friendly manner
▪ Ability to contribute to positive staff morale and team cohesiveness within the service
▪ Show respect for all others ( customers and employees )
▪ Have excellent time management skills
▪ Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
JOB DESCRIPTION
▪ Prepare food items in accordance with standards
▪ Prepare food efficiently ensuring no interruption to service
▪ Make sure all food that goes to customers is of consistent quality and high standard
▪ Ensure appealing plate presentation
▪ Inform wait staff about wait times
▪ Ensures that co-workers are kept informed of relevant information
▪ Slightly modify crepes to meet customer’s needs (Allergies, Dairy or Gluten Free)
▪ Adhere to standardised recipes to maintain consistency
▪ Review the daily preparation sheets with the Head Chef
▪ Prepares lists of food products required for order
▪ Maintain an organised work environment using a set cleaning schedule
▪ Monitor food stock, rotate accordingly and discard out-of-date items
▪ Practice proper labelling and rotation
