It’s started and entries are coming in at all our specialty shops for the chance to win one of the ten $5,000 prizes. That’s right 2 winners every month August to December.
What would you do with $5,000 ✈️🚗🐕‍🦺💃

All you need to do is spend $20 or more at any of the specialty shops ( Not Woolworths (Major) or Reject Shop ( Discount Variety Store).
Every specialty shop and service in the centre has entry forms so spend $20 with them and fill in an entry form. Leave the entry with the shop but remember to grab yourself a Kingston Town shopping bag from one of the shops and keep your docket or dockets ready for the first draw. The more times you shop the more chances to win.
Entries for the first draw close at 12noon on Wednesday August 12th. Six lucky people will be drawn and will come along to the centre on Thursday 13th when 7hofm will be here to do the major draw and two lucky shoppers will win $5,000
The other 4 will take home $50 vouchers to one of the Specialty shops.
If you don’t win the first draw you will have 4 more months to be in with a chance.

Something unfortunate happened around 7 AM yesterday at our shop.
A young man came in asking to change some money. I helped him once, but when he asked again, something felt off, so I told him we didn’t have any more change.

At that moment, I was inside the shop holding a small cash bag, when he suddenly leaned halfway into the shop, snatched the bag from my hands, and ran off.
I chased him all the way to the car park outside but eventually lost him, returning to the shop feeling both frustrated and upset. He was younger, faster, and I didn’t stand a chance. 🫣

Surprisingly, though, the rest of the day turned out to be one of our busiest and happiest.
Thanks to the staff who were preparing to open their shops at the time, and to the many others at 🩷Kingston Town Shopping Centre🩷 who came by later to check on us after hearing the news,
we were able to laugh about the whole thing and talk about it as just a brief “morning chase.”
(And yes, I even gave my very first police statement!)
