Nungalgiri (summer) skies ✨

My dear friends,

We have decided that the time is not with us to bring forward Nungalgiri at Eastern Door this summer.

The unpredictable year of 2020 has meant that we are going to postpone Nungalgiri until a more fortuitous season in the close future.

The longing to bring this incredible story to life is still beating strongly within us, so we lay down the dates in December, January and February and bring forth a better season in 2021 to honour this story as it deserves.

Christine Manfield is a venerable icon of the restaurant industry and renowned author of many cookbooks including Paramount Desserts and Tasting India: Heirloom Family Recipes. She brings her passion for cooking and sharing to our community, the Tweed Coast, that is her new home. At Nungalgiri at Eastern Door, Chris will deliver her expertise and passion to lead our crew in story-telling through food.

Happy Friday to our wonderful customers!

Continuing with COVID19 dine-in restrictions, we are able to seat 23 patrons within the restaurant with a maximum of 10 people per booking/group.

Please call (02 6674 1877) to reserve a table in case we have to turn you away - we hate to!

Hooray! We are open tonight for both dine in and takeaway from 5pm. Given the current COVID19 restrictions, we will only be able to seat 10 people. Looking forward to having our lovely customers back in the restaurant.

In light of recent restrictions set by the Australian government, we are now only offering take-away services. Fortunately, this doesn’t mean many changes for us besides the fact that our customers will no longer be able to dine-in. At least you can be eating from the comfort of your home as we head into winter! Again, thank you to all for continuing to support local businesses, ours and others. In these trying times, local businesses need your support more than ever. But more importantly, we need everyone to stay safe. ❤️
