Celebrating Junior Girls Golf at Eastwood ⛳

A huge congratulations to 10-year-old Jessie Sun on a fantastic run of results over the school holidays!

Jessie was crowned the 2026 Mornington Peninsula Open B Division Girls Nett Winner, following rounds at Portsea and The Dunes, and also took out the TeeMates Rookies Series Final at Waverley Pitch & Putt.

Jessie is one of an incredible 19 girls currently participating in the Australian Golf Foundation Scholarship Program at Eastwood — a number we’re extremely proud to see.

Through the program, coaching and plenty of time out on the course, it’s fantastic to see our young golfers developing their skills, building confidence and, most importantly, enjoying the game.

We’re also very fortunate to have a supportive membership who encourage our juniors and love seeing young Eastwood members achieving success beyond the Club.

Well done, Jessie! We can’t wait to see where your golfing journey takes you next. 👏

We may have lost an hour of sleep, but we gained an extra hour of evening sunshine!

Which means more time for the things we love. Golf and good food!

Twilight Golf is back this Thursday, 8 October.

Make the most of those longer evenings with 9 holes of golf + a Pot & Parma for $55pp.

Grab your playing partners, chase the last of the sunshine and stick around for a pot & parma afterwards.

Longer days. Warmer evenings. More golf.

60 YEARS OF 18 HOLES AT EASTWOOD

Sixty years ago today, on 3 October 1966, member John Gale, now 93, played a round on Eastwood's brand-new 18-hole course, a few weeks before its official opening.

He still remembers finishing the round, grabbing a drink and sitting on the floor with his back against the wall afterwards, because there weren't enough chairs to go around!

A wonderful little piece of Eastwood history, and even more special to hear it from someone who was there to experience it.

John is pictured with President Julie Coviello and General Manager Derek Stokes.

60 years of 18-hole golf at Eastwood, and plenty of stories along the way.

Eastwood’s incredible run of aces continues, with Matthew Denham and John Tunstall taking our 2026 tally to an incredible 21 Holes in One!

Congratulations to Matthew Denham, who celebrated his first ever Hole in One on Friday, 25 September, acing the 8th with his 9 iron. By all reports, Matthew was absolutely stoked — and rightly so!

Then on Saturday, John Tunstall recorded the third Hole in One of his golfing life, acing the 17th with his Ping 7 Wood and a TP5 Demo ball — incredibly, his second ace on the 17th at Eastwood!

From a first-ever ace to a third — two brilliant achievements worth celebrating.

21 Holes in One in 2026… and counting!

Congratulations, Matthew and John! 👏⛳

JUNIOR GOLF THESE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Looking for a way to get the kids off the screens and onto the greens these school holidays? Our Junior Golf Clinics are a great opportunity for kids to get outdoors, learn the basics of golf and have some fun along the way.

Led by our PGA Associate, the clinics are designed to give juniors a fun and welcoming introduction to the game — no previous golf experience necessary, equipment available if needed.

They’ll learn new skills, meet other kids and discover a sport they can enjoy for years to come. Golf first and hot chips after? Sounds like a pretty good day to us!

Ready to give it a go? Bookings are essential — follow the link to secure a spot.

A brighter school holiday awaits at Eastwood.

With winter behind us for another year, we warmly welcome the turn of a new season.

While the mornings remain frosty, the course is beginning to come back to life. Flowers are blooming, the birds are making themselves heard again and the first signs of new growth are appearing across Eastwood.

Spring is a wonderful time to play Eastwood — longer days, warmer weather and some beautiful conditions out on the course.

We’d love to welcome you for a round and see you out on the course this spring ⛳🌸

THANK A COURSE SUPERINTENDENT DAY!

We may be a day late with the photo… but the appreciation is certainly not!

Tuesday 8 September marked Thank a Course Superintendent Day, so we’re taking the opportunity to give a huge shoutout to the people behind the scenes keeping Eastwood looking and playing its best. Our Course Super, Pete. His trusted second, Chris. Our hardworking wider grounds team. And, naturally, the undisputed club-wide favourite… Harry!

While most of us are still hitting snooze, these guys are already out there mowing, maintaining, repairing, improving and dealing with whatever mother nature decided to throw at them that week.

A lot of their work happens quietly behind the scenes, but the results certainly don’t go unnoticed.

A huge thank you to Pete, Chris and the entire grounds team for everything you do for Eastwood — we’re very lucky to have you.

And Harry… exceptional supervisory work as always. 🐾
