Every day the Trucks roll in from the Kilcoy meatworks. Some of these drivers have been on the road 12 hours — and Yowie Park is the first place they can legally stop.

Yeah, the smell turns heads some days (depends which way the breeze is going). But they're always considerate. Leave room for cars. Same routine, same crew.

Today didn’t go quite as planned.

I was expecting a larger gathering, but Amin arrived with his wife, their baby boy, and more food than anyone could possibly eat.

Years ago, locals in Kilcoy helped many of the Bangladeshi boys feel welcome.

Today, Amin came back to say thank you.
