We’re excited to be part of this collaboration and can’t wait for a fantastic evening with Kelp & Casks aboard Mures Upper Deck.

Our Head Distiller, Rob, will be joining the dinner to guide guests through the whisky journey, sharing insights into the craft and stories behind each pour. It’s a wonderful opportunity to ask questions directly to the maker and gain a deeper appreciation of Tasmanian whisky.

The third Kelp & Casks event is fast approaching on Wednesday 1st of July, and this time we are featuring the great pours of Old Kempton Distillery.

Old Kempton Distillery is located in an 1840s mansion called Dysart House, in the picturesque colonial town of Kempton. Selecting local Tasmanian ingredients for the distilling process, and finishing each bottle by hand, produces a product that is a testament to Tasmania’s rich heritage and craftsmanship.

This spirited evening pairs Old Kempton’s distinctive drams with Kelp Bar’s premium seafood menu, featuring fresh hook-to-plate catch and seasonal bites from the Executive Chef. Tastings will be hosted by the distillers themselves, making it a great experience for both whisky connoisseurs and curious newcomers.

Sarah and Konnor had a fantastic first session at Whisky Live Brisbane last night, with plenty of great conversations and even better drams shared.
