Sadly, after a decade of operations, due to Health issues and the current economic conditions, Graze on Main has ceased trading. A huge thank you to all the staff and customers who have made this business work, but with rents increasing, power up 53% in 14 months, milks up 55% in a year, coffee, wages, Gas doubling in price, and with my recent Health issues, including a double spinal fusion and a "mild" cancer, it is no longer feasible to remain operational. The last month has seen a more than 70% down turn in turnover, at a time when the overall costs have jumped by over 28%. Thank you. This place will be missed.

OK, slight chance of snow this weekend above 900 metres, firstly, be aware, if there is, roads will be slippery... Secondly, if it does snow at 899 metres, I'll be a little annoyed that the weather app got it wrong!

Its with great sadness and sorrow, that I need to report that a staff member of Graze, a wonderful and amazing young woman has died. She will be sadly missed by all. Incredibly tragic and a shock for us all. We all feel so much for her, and for her family and friends.

OK, negative tests for covid myself, and no symptoms, thanks to the vaccine booster a few weeks ago, I'm guessing! we will be open tomorrow, through to 30th April, then closed for 11 days for my first holiday in 11 years... about time!!! Well, first non hospital " holiday" anyway!!!

Please be aware that it has never been ok to go into a food premises with cold or flu symptoms under the Food Act/ Health Act.. Graze on Main was closed yesterday, and today due to Covid, all last weekend and monday/ thursday, people have been coming in coughing sneezing, etc. We have immune compromised staff and staff family who are now at a severe risk due to the inability to follow simple rules. If you have any cold or flu symptoms, it is not ok to enter a food business, and it never has been OK to do so.
Stay safe, and think of others, please.

Graze On Main will be open each day of the long weekend, 8am, but will be closing sunday by 1pm at the latest ( we need some family time ), Have a great holiday period!

Due to some technical ( and hopefully short lived ) staffing issues, Graze will be offering drinks only for thursday and friday, 2 and 3rd of March.. Custom parts need to be made from scratch to repair the oven, and yet again, more repair work has to be made after the ongoing water damage from upstairs.... Hopefully now fixed!!!
Apologies, I wish there was another way!

As is for everyone in business at the moment, staff shortages are an ongoing issue, as a result we will need to close early occasionally, and may have to close for day from time to time. I'm still recovering from some pretty serious spinal surgery, and am the only one cooking. this week, from tuesday to saturday, I've managed to total 64 hours at work, with a day to go. Please don't be rude to my staff, as they are also working a lot more hours trying to keep the business open.

Its been an interesting few weeks! some good some not so good! Thank you for being patient! Its been very busy, near double normal, after school holidays, and we have 3 new staff, a few changes to the menu, and unfortunately, I triggered a problem in my neck after recent fusion surgery. Add in the re-occurring water leaks, not helped with the constant rain, and its been a journey!
Getting back to normal, but with only one chef, I may have to close a day a week. Previously, tuesdays or wednesdays have been the quiet day, but currently Tuesday to Thursday rival the weekends, which is making it hard to pick a day. Until I find another chef or cook, we are short staffed, and If we are closed early, its due to the 9 plus hour days at work, with another 2 to 3 a day dealing with other aspects of business, and I'm still dealing with recent very major spinal surgery.

Graze on Main will be closed on the 22 09 due to the Queens Memorial public holiday, primarily out of respect, But also, wages simply mean we need to be BEYOND capacity to cover costs of opening on public holidays.

DUe toan ongoing, repeating water issue, that happens at least once a year, we are unable to serve food today, as the ceiling space is full of water from an upstairs unit water leak, its raining in the kitchen, AGAIN!
