Swipers Gully Vineyard & Restaurant Our coffee shop and dinner service is open during school terms. Our Year 8-managed Coffee shop is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 12pm.

Our VET Hospitality Program Restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from 6.30pm. Bookings welcome & essential.

Thanks to our regular patrons and to our visiting parents who all supported our students in having an authentic learning environment.

** Year 12 VET Hospitality Students Parent's Dinner**
On Wednesday 26 of August 2026 we held our first Year 12 Hospitality Dinner with Stephen Mercer, of Mercer's Restaurant, in Eltham creating a menu for the event. It's the last service of 2026 for the unit 3,4 VET students.

It was a sold out event with parents of the students working attending. Pat and his students did a remarkable job creating 4 dishes as part of Stephen's degustation menu while Duncan's front of house students served 4 courses matched to our own Swipers Gully wines.

Both front and back of house students were fantastic and extremely professional. It is a credit to the program offered at ELTHAM that they are so capable.

We cannot offer these evenings without the support of families. Thank you.

We are already looking forward to the next one.

**Caelan Robertson wins top honours at Premier’s VCE Awards**

Congratulations to Caelan Robertson who has received top honours with a Premier’s VCE Award for his outstanding VCE result in 2025.

Caelan received a Study Award for excellence in VET Cookery where he received a top score of 50.

322 of Victoria’s top performing students were recognised at this year’s Premier’s VCE Awards, including three international students, eight students who completed the VCE Vocational Major program with distinction, and 23 Top All-Round VCE High Achievers who achieved study scores of 46 or higher out of 50 in at least five VCE subjects.

The entire ELTHAM College community is proud of Caelan and would like to congratulate him on being the recipient of such a prestigious award. We also want to take this opportunity to recognise our own VET Cookery teacher Pat Murphy.
