Two brothers used to always dream about introducing real authentic sub continental food to Australia which was unique in taste & texture. Having tasted similar styles of food that were “Tailored” to the Australian palate, they knew that it wasn’t truly authentic. Home cooked food that Dilan & Basil were used to was meat infused with bones and vegetables that brought out the flavour of the meat in
the dish. Then came Ricky & Nick; two brothers from Fiji who not only shared the same sentiment but had already taken steps to offer truly authentic Fijian Indian food by opening “Raja Rani” restaurant in Southport, Queensland. Having shared each other’s views, Dilan & Basil set out to establish a truly authentic restaurant that not only offered dishes from their homeland but also favorite dishes from neighboring countries that tantalizes the palate. Flamin’ Grill’s dishes are cooked with the freshest ingredients sourced from suppliers that practice high quality hygiene systems with proper Quality Assurance plans. This ensures that the ingredients we get are fresh, clean & of extremely high quality. These ingredients are then prepared with love & care by their experienced chefs that have been trained by “mum” so that the home cooked style & flavour flows through to their dishes. All recipes are special and confidential and are handed down with care and concern. You will find that the most commonly offered dishes from similar restaurants will taste different here. It would be richer or milder depending on the type of dish, the flavour it needs to represent and the colour it should have. Some dishes will be presented with meat on the bone while others will be cooked with bones infused in the prepara- tion. You will certainly experience a great tasting dish that might not be like something you are used to but will certainly be authentic and full of flavour.
