My new coffee shop got a lovely write-up on "Discover Ipswich".

Set inside Ipswich’s home of Antiques the Heritage Coffee Corner is quickly becoming a popular place to sit and relax after a day out in Ipswich.

I thought the previous post on this page would be my last. However, there is one more I feel compelled to write. I found out today that the same person who sent a defamatory message about me to my personal facebook friends via messenger, has also sent the same message to Richy's Coffee Shop facebook friends. If you are one of them, I apologise for this person's actions. You should not have been subjected to this. To those who have told me they received the message and deleted it and blocked the sender, I thank you. To end on a happier note, I have really enjoyed seeing so many ex-Richy's customers already at Heritage Coffee Corner and I look forward to seeing many more who have mentioned they will visit when they can. It has been a busy few days since I opened and it has been a great success. I am enjoying it immensly and I love serving and spending what time I can conversing with customers. Heritage Coffee Corner page is now up and running. I am up and running too trying to get ready to open next Thursday (9 May). I have been doing both - loads of coffee and napping - which one is your response to the "too much to do" stress thing?🙂

Now that the property has sold (settled last week), it is time to close this chapter and move on to the next one. I think I have coffee running in my veins so I am ready to announce that I will shortly be opening a new coffee shop, with the beautiful Bev as my right hand woman again. It will be called "Heritage Coffee Corner" and is inside the grand heritage-listed Ipswich Antique Centre at 86 East Street. If you have driven past this building many times and not stopped to look inside, why not come and have a look at the fantastic array of antiques, memorabilia and retro items for sale - and come for a cuppa too of course! (A dedicated parking area for Antique Centre and coffee shop customers is available at the rear of the building via Roderick St.) I am in the process of getting ready to open and will announce the exact date shortly, as well as create a business page.

On the eve of "Richy's" shop's last day, may I take the opportunity to say thank you again for being part of my healing journey from the loss of my beloved son, Richard (affectionately also known as Richy). I am blessed to have had the experience of meeting so many wonderful people who have crossed my path over the last four years. We have laughed together, shared our stories together or simply had conversations about everyday things. I have also had the pleasure of seeing others doing the same over a cuppa or two. I look forward to the next chapter. "Watch this space." 😊
