Just a heads up, Oikos will be closed this weekend as we’re out supporting the NBHD Invitational.

We won’t be at our usual spot this weekend, but Oikos is on the move… and we love taking great coffee wherever we go.

We are so blessed to have the support of so many customers and people in our local community. Small business isn’t easy, and we genuinely couldn’t do it without the incredible support of the Ipswich community.

This video highlights the amazing work of an initiative that we share our space with Neighbourhood, a work of Ipswich Connect. They have created a community focused on passing on good things to those who may have never experienced healthy community before.

Behind our cafe is a boxing and juijitsu gym, but Neighbourhood is about so much more than fitness. The DNA of Neighbourhood is to give back and walk alongside people who often fall through the gaps in our society, particularly young people coming out of youth detention and others who need support, connection and community.

It is an honour to support the work these guys are doing, and I’m blessed to call many of them my close mates.

If you’re looking to get fit, find community, or simply support a movement committed to passing on good things, I’d strongly encourage you to check them out.
