What a result for Sunnyside Wagyu!!! Their bull sale is over for the year but their achievements don’t stop coming!
🏆 FIRST PLACE - 2026 RNA PADDOCK TO PALATE WAGYU TASTE OFF 🏆
A very proud result for Sunnyside Wagyu at the Royal Queensland Show last night!
Sunnyside Wagyu has taken 1st Place in Class 39D – Taste Off, the Fullblood/Purebred Wagyu Challenge at the 2026 RNA Paddock to Palate Competition.
The Paddock to Palate competition is one of Australia’s great tests of commercial beef performance, assessing cattle right through the production chain - from weight gain and feedlot performance to carcase quality, value and, ultimately, eating quality.
With a record 1,358 head entered in the 2026 competition, it is especially rewarding to see Sunnyside Wagyu come out on top in the Fullblood/Purebred Wagyu Taste Off.
For us, this result represents what Wagyu breeding is ultimately about.
We spend years making careful breeding decisions - selecting genetics for marbling, carcase performance, growth, functionality and consistency. But at the end of the day, those genetics need to deliver where it matters most: on the plate.
