💙 Happy Father's Day from Meals on Wheels Inverell 💙

As Father's Day approaches this Sunday, we would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, father figures, and the special men who have helped shape and support the lives of those around them.

Throughout this week, we have been delighted to distribute beautiful handmade Father's Day cards to our clients. These wonderful cards were lovingly created by a talented volunteer from Inverell Community Sewing for Charity, and we are incredibly grateful for the time, care, and generosity that goes into making each one so special.

A heartfelt thank you to Inverell Community Sewing for Charity for helping us spread a little extra joy and kindness throughout our community.

We wish all fathers and father figures a very happy Father's Day and hope you enjoy a wonderful day surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.

Yesterday was National Meals on Wheels Day.
Each year, National Meals on Wheels Day (NMOWD) provides a new opportunity for us to recognise the invaluable role Meals on Wheels volunteers play to our member services through acknowledgement and celebration.
This year is about continuing the movement of care through each homemade meal delivered directly to your door by a friendly face.
We celebrated with homemade cookies given to our valuable Clients and Volunteers.

A Special Farewell to Bruce George

Today we'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Bruce George, who has generously volunteered with Meals on Wheels for the past 6½ years.

Over the last year, Bruce has also served on our Board, sharing his time, experience, and dedication to help support and guide our organisation. Throughout his years of service, Bruce's kindness, commitment, and willingness to help others have made a real difference to our team and the community we serve.
As Bruce and his partner Kate prepare to move away and begin an exciting new adventure and the next chapter of their lives, we wish them both happiness, good health, and every success in the journey ahead.

Thank you, Bruce, for everything you have done for Meals on Wheels. You will be greatly missed, and we are truly grateful for your years of service and friendship.

Be Kinder Day – Monday

On Monday, we celebrated Be Kinder Day with a thoughtful gesture from the children and staff at the Catherine Campbell Centre. They kindly donated gift bags that included a handmade card, homemade biscuits, a chocolate treat, and a coffee sachet.
These lovely packs were warmly received and greatly appreciated by our Monday clients and volunteers. We are very grateful for their kindness and generosity in helping make the day extra special.
