🚗 LAST-MINUTE CRAZY IDEA… BUT I NEED SOME HELP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

I want to create an amazing day for Dads this Father’s Day — particularly dads who might not have much planned, single dads who are at a bit of a loose end, or simply dads who want to have an unforgettable day with their kids.

So I've come up with THE DAD DRIVE.

The idea is pretty simple.

☕ Start the morning at Merciers in Huskisson with a coffee, bacon & egg roll and hot chocolates for the kids.

🗺 Then Dad gets his instructions, everyone jumps in their cars and heads off on The Dad Drive — an adventure around the Shoalhaven with mystery destinations, challenges, treasure hunts and plenty of surprises along the way.

🎣 There'll be things that dads and kids can have a crack at together — including the Very Amateur Dads Fishing Comp. No fishing ability required. In fact, probably better if you don't have any.

🚗 Eventually everyone finds their way back to Merciers for the finish line with live music, BBQ, the Dad Joke Competition, awards, prizes and a great afternoon together.

BUT… I NEED SOME HELP TO PULL IT OFF.

I'm looking for people to become part of the first DAD DRIVE CREW and help get the wheels turning.

We need help with things like:

🗺 Route planning & logistics
🪧 Checkpoints & signage
📱 Social media & PR
🤝 Sponsorship & prizes
🎟 Ticketing & registrations
📸 Photography & video
🎣 Running activities on the day
🚗 Local car clubs
🛠 Roadside/support crew
🙋 Event-day helpers

And probably a few things I haven't thought of yet!

If you've got a skill that could contribute, a business that would like to get involved, an idea, or simply some time to help, I'd love to hear from you.

I'd love to make this an unforgettable day for dads and their kids — and if we can raise some money for a good cause along the way, even better.

We're starting from scratch and Father’s Day isn't far away, so it's time to get the wheels turning.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes at Merciers to create a stunning new venue in the heart of Huskisson and we’re excited to finally share our opening hours.

Cafe by day, bar and events venue by evening.

Start your day with our house-roasted coffee, enjoy our tasty food, or treat yourself to a scoop of gelato. As the day winds down, settle in by the fireplace, enjoy our beautiful courtyard out the back, and soak up the atmosphere with chill music, good drinks and great company.
