WILD WOMBAT turns 16.

We are thrilled to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Wild Wombat Cafe!

This milestone marks a journey filled with memorable moments, growth, and an unwavering commitment to serving our cherished customers.

From its inception, Wild Wombat Cafe was the brainchild of original owners Angela and Daniel. They envisioned a cozy, welcoming space where locals and visitors alike could enjoy quality coffee, delicious food, and a friendly atmosphere. Their passion and dedication laid a solid foundation for what Wild Wombat Cafe has become today.

Over the years, we have experienced many highs, however, our journey hasn't been without challenges.

Critics have played an essential role in our evolution, driving us to refine our menu, enhance our service, and create an even better experience for our customers. We’ve always listened closely to our customers' preferences and feedback, ensuring that our offerings align with their expectations while staying true to our original concept. We believe that to survive, you need to constantly evolve and adapt to what is happening around you.

Many may not know this, but over the years, we have also offered fine dining dinner service, featuring 52 different wines from local and interstate regions, 38 various craft beers, and a full bar service including cocktails. This venture into fine dining allowed us to showcase our versatility and commitment to providing diverse culinary experiences.

As we evolved, we simplified our services by dropping the bar and fine dining while still offering dinner and alcohol over the years as we are, fully licenced. This change allowed us to focus more on our core strengths as a morning and lunch cafe, serving quality coffee, while maintaining a delightful dining experience for our customers when required to do so and offering catering to private and business customers.

Our ability to adapt over the years has brought fresh perspectives and ideas, helping us cater to the evolving tastes of our customers. We've introduced new menu items, revamped our interior, and embraced sustainability practices to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly options. Despite these changes, our core values of quality, community, and hospitality have remained constant.

Today, Wild Wombat Cafe continues to thrive, thanks to the unwavering support of our loyal customers and the hard work of our dedicated team. With Angela at the helm as Chef/owner and Daniel working on other projects and behind the scenes, We look forward to many more years of serving you and creating cherished memories together.

16 years as original owners in a town where others have changed hands, sold, or seen new businesses come and go. Despite the increased competition, here we still stand.

We may be closed tomorrow, but we will be here on Sunday and don’t forget dinners….. If you don’t book, we can’t cook. Monday - Friday bookings only for dinner.
