Our Story
LA TERRAZZA VINEYARD & RESTAURANT·
The La Terrazza Vineyard began as a dream from owner Alvaro Mazzarino. Born in Italy he immigrated to Australia at 27 years of age. After living in Melbourne and starting a family with Vivian, who both parents come from Tuscany and her father was an italian Chef, the decision was made to grow the family in Bendigo and to reside in Huntly.
Alvaro’s hobby of 3 acres of vines began which then reached 10 acres of Shiraz, Cabernet and Chardonnay grapes. In 2003, La Terrazza Vineyard the only Authentic Italian Restaurant in Central Victoria was born.
It was a family affair with Alvaro and Vivian heading the kitchen, daughters Cristina and Melissa running the restaurant floor and bar and son Marco in the kitchen and making wood fire oven pizza’s. Alvaro and Vivian were given a chance to share their love of their italian food, culture and passion. Not to mention the local wine made by La Terrazza.
After 11 years of intense fun, laughter, meeting all you as customers and friends we decided to all have a break and a well deserved rest...
2017 came along and the restaurant was rented to a young couple of Chefs... After 6 months the lease finished and the restaurant is now closed until further notice.

At the moment we are not sure what the future will bring for La Terrazza but we send love to you and your family and friends... who knows there could be a reopening of La Terrazza Vineyard. We just dont know what the future holds just yet...
