A piece of Hornsby history, preserved for future generations. 🌿

The Hornsby Woodworking Men's Shed has handcrafted two beautiful pen boxes using timber from Hornsby’s historic ANZAC Tree, a direct descendant of the original Lone Pine at Gallipoli.

Planted in Hornsby Park in 1937 by Hornsby RSL Sub Branch President Frank Naveau, the tree was grown from seeds collected from the battlefield following the Battle of Lone Pine in 1915. For decades, it stood as a living connection between our local community and the service and sacrifice of the ANZACs.

Now, thanks to the incredible work of our local Men’s Shed volunteers, that history lives on through these limited-edition keepsakes, each complete with a commemorative pen.

Purchase a ticket in our online raffle for your chance to win one of these unique pieces of Hornsby's ANZAC legacy. All proceeds support the ongoing work of the Hornsby RSL Sub-branch and its commitment to commemorating and supporting our veteran community.

Watch the Mural Come to Life! 🎨

In the week leading up to ANZAC Day, our community came together to bring this special tribute mural to life.

Over the week, members, guests and staff each painted a piece of the mural, gradually revealing a soldier silhouette surrounded by poppies in honour of those who served. Thank you to the incredible artists who helped make it happen!

As part of “Reveal The Remembrance”, donations collected throughout the week were contributed to Legacy Australia. Thank you to everyone who took part and helped create something truly meaningful.
