The wait is almost over!

Tomorrow we welcome the first group of guests on our 'Come to Sea' tours, and we can't wait to head out on the water.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see beneath our salmon pens through live ROV footage, learn more about the technology we use every day and gain a closer look at life on the water 🐟

Have you ever wondered what an ROV actually is?

An ROV, or Remotely Operated Vehicle, is often described as an underwater drone. Equipped with cameras and lights, ROVs are used regularly at Huon for environmental monitoring, assisting our team in observing conditions beneath our farms and informing how we manage our operations.

This year, visitors on our 'Come to Sea' tours will get to watch a live ROV demonstration and see the seafloor beneath the pens for themselves. It's a unique opportunity to look below the surface and learn more about the technology and monitoring used in modern salmon farming. 🐟

Great to see the launch of the WISA Huon Valley Hub and women from across Tasmania's seafood industry coming together to connect, share experiences and support one another.

We're especially proud to see Huon's General Manager Aquaculture, Depha Miedecke, sharing her insights on the night.

A great weekend for a little local rivalry!

Thanks for having us again Huonville Lions. We loved catching up with footy fans and handing out a few Huon goodies, well done to everyone who took home a prize!
