Cravings aren’t always about hunger.
Ever opened the chocolate thinking “I’ll just have a couple of squares”… and somehow the whole block disappears?
Often it’s not hunger. It’s habit, stress, boredom, comfort or simply a pattern your brain has learned.
Instead of relying on willpower, interrupt the pattern.
Put the food away. Take out a portion. Sit down and actually taste it. Then wait 10 minutes before deciding whether you genuinely want more.
And most importantly, get curious:
What was I actually looking for when I reached for that food?
You don’t have to ban your favourite foods.
You need to understand the habits that keep pulling you back to them.
That’s the kind of work we do inside my signature program -Thrive Through Menopause-Lose Weight & Live Well, because sustainable weight loss is about more than just knowing what to eat.
Work with your body, not against it.
Break old habits.
Create new behaviours around food.
