Mother Nature has certainly been keeping us on our toes this week!
After five days of very generous winter rain, our little creek is putting on quite a show. The crossing into the farm is currently flowing like a mini white-water rapid, which means cars can't drive across to our usual parking area just yet.
Fortunately, the rain is expected to stop, but if you're visiting us this weekend, please park in the designated area before the creek crossing and take the short stroll across the footbridge into the farm. Our team will be there to help guide you if needed.
All onsite venues will be open and operating as per usual, so you can still enjoy the farm at its winter best!
We just recommend wearing sturdy shoes or boots, as things are a little muddy underfoot after all this wonderful rain.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility - we can't wait to see you for a beautiful winter visit!

I’m okay but I definitely didn’t expect this 😂🪿

Before anyone asks, the geese at Lavandula are actually very friendly. This particular lady just made it very clear that I had wandered a little too close to her territory and she wasn’t interested in making new friends that day.

Fun fact: geese are incredibly protective of their nesting areas and families. If they feel threatened, they’ll often hiss, flap their wings, charge, or chase intruders away. The good news? They’re usually all bluff and no harm, they’re simply doing their job as nature’s unofficial security guards.

Needless to say, I got the message loud and clear and quickly retreated from the scene. 😂
