Bakers delight Helensvale is seeking a Qualified Baker to join our team in Helensvale, Queensland. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to utilise your baking expertise in a dynamic bakery environment. As a Qualified Baker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods whilst maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards. This role is central to our operations, ensuring that our customers receive consistently excellent products that meet their expectations and reflect our commitment to quality.
Key responsibilities
Prepare, mix and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked products according to established recipes and quality standards
Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are baked to perfection
Maintain a clean and organised workstation, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers and other machinery
Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of baking ingredients
Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Quality assure finished products before they are packaged or displayed
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth bakery operations
Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
What we're looking for
A recognised baking qualification or apprenticeship completion in baking.
Proven experience working as a baker in a professional bakery or food production environment
Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients and product varieties
Understanding of food safety, hygiene standards and relevant regulations
Ability to work accurately under time pressure and meet production schedules
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality
Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Reliability and a positive approach to work
Preferably, experience with specialist dietary products (gluten-free, vegan, etc.) would be advantageous
